The greenest patch in Dubai

For most people, the sheer mention of Middle East conjures up images of desert and miles of sand. 

Motor City, Dubai probably lies at the other extreme end of the scale. An oasis in many ways, Motor City is by far the greenest gated communities in Dubai. With large patches of well maintained foliage, Motor City provides that green relief that one needs after a busy day at the office.

I have always enjoyed the various perspectives the buildings provide. Here is a picture of the Widcome buildings. 

The English connection

I've always been intrigued by the way the streets at Motor City are named. I am sure Union Properties intended to give the community an English twist with the naming of the streets, the names of building and the cobblestone walking paths. 

A few of the many street names include Barton Street, Marlowe Street, Dickens Street etc. Very English?

Motor City is a close knit community where it is common practice for families to meet up in the pool areas. Motor City has several pools supported with the usual amenities including changing rooms for ladies and gents, a well equipped shower area, pool chairs and tables. 

So if you'd like to laze around on a Friday afternoon, the pools is a good place to head to.
