Many times I get strange looks when I mention the kartdrome at Motor City. Not many people are even aware that such a facility exists at Motor City!! I spent the evening with some buddies at the Kartdrome last weekend!!! What an evening it was.  You can contact the Kartdrome at 04 367 8745

I love the greenery around this building. While most building have a lot of greenery around them, Norton Court 4 gets a special mention as probably  the one having a fantastic green view from most balconies.

Batheaton Pool House

This one of the newest pools at Motor City. Located behind Widcombe House 1, this pool area also has a large baby pool.

Uptown Motor City provides long, winding and safe walkways for the use of it's residents. Families and children can go out for walks in the evenings in a safe and peaceful environment.

Knot Garden

What I love about Motor City are the wide spaces between buildings. Here is an example of the garden between the 2 Bennett House buildings. Motor City provides a lot of walking paths and garden patches giving a feeling of space and openness.

Direct access to Emirates Road / Al Barsha open

What a pleasant surprise it was. The direct access road from Motor City onto Emirates Road and Umm Suquim Road has finally opened. It is well over a year since the access road leading on to the Arabian Ranches interchange was ready but for some strange reasons the opening to the public had been delayed.


With the opening of this road, residents at Motor City can drive out straight to the main highway leading to Abu Dhabi or towards the Al Barsha areas. The opening of the new road will save at least 5 - 10 minutes of driving time for the resident who had to, until now, take the narrow access roads leading on to the Al Qudra road


Hats off to RTA for opening the road though a bit late.

Salsa sessions at Motor City

Need to brush up your Salsa? Salsa practice sessions are now available right next door. Salsa sessions are now conducted at the function room of Donnington Park pool. This is the pool right behind Sherlock Circus 3. The sessions are conducted every week for about an hour each.

Union Properties profit rises

Union Properties has reported increase in profits in the first quarter on account of Motor City sales.

Dubai's third-biggest developer by market value, said first-quarter profit rose 67 per cent on increased revenue from the handover of properties in its MotorCity project. Net income climbed to Dh50 million from Dh30 million a year earlier, the company said in a statement. Revenue advanced 48 per cent to Dh846 million.
